Anyone planning or have planned a trip for 2016? I am considering doing something next year, boats etc dependant.

The Geneva trip is worth considering but is only 7 / 8 days on the bike. Ideal if you don't have enough time off as you start in Geneva with the French, Swiss and Italian Alps on your doorstep.
I did it this year and thus left enough holidays to keep her & the kids happy with a sangria and sombrero trip to Spain.
Thinking about doing it again next year.

Don,t know what curtain side has to do with it?
Curtain side trailer not very secure and can be slashed with a stanley knife so your bikes would not be very safe. Then again if you ride a suzuki you will be safe enough as nobody is stupid enough to steal one.

I meant it was being loaded, were as I was thinking riding the bike and boats.

I give up. I made a suggestion for a trip that I found very good. If you wanna find fault you will.
FYI my bike was brand spanking new and I never once thought it was unsafe.
If you feel that getting a ferry is a must for a bike trip then get the ferry at Magilligan or jump on the boat to Scotland. In saying that Scotland is a great trip but depends how high your horizons are

What do mean you give up, stick with the thread. I'm just asking for advise and some help.

But for your infomation!
The shipping has happened 3 times I think to date and Everyone has got their bike there and Back in proper condition with no damages!
Think of it this way Your bike goes ahead So you save between 3 and 4 days travelling (Each Way) dependent on your capabilities
You save on X thousand Miles fuel and mechanical/tyre wear on the Bike
You Save on Ferry and X days of Meals and nights accommodation
You save "possibly" on having to ride at a pace through possibly heavy rain (and Soggy Kit) because you have a ferry to catch
You book a plane You turn up
You arrive fresh You get on your bike you are there and you can go and enjoy the area etc etc
So You were saying about the Negatives of this???

Thanks for the post.
I did this trip 2 years ago and am going again next year. The guy that runs it, Andy Bolton, is a really nice genuine fella and it is organised with military precision. Once there though it up to you to make your own way wherever you want to go. There was no issue with security and the year I went there were 3 trucks full of bikes.
Can't speak highly enough of this trip and the organisation, I went on it this year and it was brilliant. Security of my bike never even entered my mind 
For what it's worth I have pulled curtainside trailers all over Europe for many many years and have never had one slashed. A box trailer can be padlocked, but a padlock only keeps out an honest man. If they want in they'll get in.
Personally I wouldn't let it bother me.

I had a quick look. Seems OK. Basically, get a flight, hire their bike, ride about each day, have a beer at night.
Probably a million euro excess though.
