trojan problem help please

Hi All
any one come across trojan-spy.win32@mx.
i am running the avast software but this doesent seem to have stopped this one getting through as i am now constantly getting a system alert trianlgle in yellow any one know what i can do to get ride of this .
any help would be appreciated.it seems to be getting ever worse blocking me getting onto this site now

A quick google says this is a fake trojan - usually associated with pop-ups trying to get you to buy a proprietary programme from Zlob.

I run Avast too. I also run Spybot in parallel. Between them they seem to keep my system free of malware.

I once had a horrible infestation with a similar "refusing to disappear" warning, and these guys cleaned my machine out. It took 3 days to do it, but they were brilliant. They will ask that you install a couple of tools which will perform the clean up for you, and at each attempt, you send an output log file to them. They can then diagnose what's left to clean up, and make their next move accordingly. I cannot recommend them enough. And it's free.
