Has anyone fitted the TT Battery Splash Guard onto a GSA ? I have run into problems with the brake line pipe does not match the cutout which TT have notched onto the plate. Any ideas would be welcome ( besides a cutting torch solution !! )

Yes -recently fitted one on a 1200GSa 07'. Badly designed or what!! If you fit it as per their distructions you will end up scratching your subframe. Best way to do it is to remove the silencer & rear shock then offer it up to find out where you will have to cut out more material. finally fit some edge trim (similar to that on the old r100rs windscreens).Won't fit any more as it takes far too long to sort out.
must have been designed by the eric who designed the new rear huggers for the same bike.
pity cos quite a lot of their stuff isn't bad

TT batt splash guard

Hi Skywalker. Echo the TT comments - as bad as the hugger stories on this forum !! Warning to all GSA owners - this guard DOES NOT FIT. I had to bend the plate all over the place despite TT's emails about "nobody else has complained " replies; and I have the latest photos to prove it. Don't waste your money buying this so-called guard to keep the muck off the battery because its more hassle than its worth. It not only scratches the paint, but even catches the brake lines ( both coming up from the pedal and along the swingarm ! ) and even hassles the cables along the main spring dampner under the seat.If you want pics, PM me and I'll gladly send them.

This sounds bad :( I fitted the plate to my 12 when I got it, it was a bit of a battle to get it in and it almost scrached my frame too, but I didn't need to bend it. How come the adv is so different?

I have to admit it's porbably the only TT part I'd want to fit to my next bike. I'm still amased how exposed everything is in that area :(
