I think i would also be interested, just one question before i commit though, does anyone know how much ground clearance you lose with the touratech bash plate?

Is that the finished item? As pics on the website posted earlier show two webs welded in at the rear mounting points of the bashplate.....?

2 questions:
1st: Does 2 welded webs exists on final product ?
2nd: Is group buy available only for UK living members ?

Could be interested depending on final price. I would want a hole in the bottom for oil change.

Another alternative is the bloke who made my auxiliary fuel tank. He can make up whatever we ask him, including a tool box if you want one. An idea of numbers, design / spec and target price would help me negotiate a deal.

Having said that, this looks like a well designed guard and the price is sensible.

Is that you on the ADVRider site "MTDewX8"

Would your mate be interested in making some case saver's ?

Have fittted the large bash-plate and far more substantial than the standard. Only prolems is engine resonnance - engine mechanical sounds is much amplified. Will try it with rubber bushes once I have some threadlock.

Self-amalgamating tape can be used where sump guard touches frame, but loctite all screws in too.
Also, by filling voids around the base of the engine with a foam/sponge material, ie, this stuff you reduce the drone resonating from the lower engine, it also prevents dirt/mud ingress and build up.

Yes, A hole for oil changing can be done.

The price "110€ per piece + shipping 16€ to you" I'm not sure if that means he intends to send them all to me :nenau

Any idea when we will know the final price and be able to place the order!:thumb
