Two Questions,, Well three

Mr Goggles wanted a lighter pipe so as you do ,i sold him mine .
All ready for action with me 22 spanner to fit the Lambada probe on the pipe and ,"No lambada sensor"this is a 98 bike,mine is a 96 and i,ve got one.
Here lies "Question 1" why has a 98 bike not got a Lambada sensor.
Question 2:Whilst the pipe is off i decided to do a bit of cleaning in and around those wee bits you can really even see but it contents the mind!whilst cleaning the back brake unit i noticed it just the tinyest wee bit loose no more than 3 to 5 mm play is this normal or should i investigate further?.
"Question 3" Who owns the Arse that greets us all on entry to the site,and what do ye think are the chances of see,in the rest of her?

Q1. Does the bike have a cat or a just a collector box,
You can order the GS in certain countries with no cat, so it could have been imported.

Q2.Check all mounting screws etc

Q1. All UK spec 1100GS's didn't have cats/lambda sensors, only the American / European spec models had them fitted

Q2 - if the movement is lateral, this is normal (it's a single piston floating caliper). If it's moving in any other way, get a dealer to have a look....

its as simple as this, the europeans + the americans are very fond of doing the lambada therefore bmw have seen fit to fit thier bikes with a lambada sensor.

Ugh hum....! My 1999 R1100GS (Belgium domestic model ) has never danced the lambada and I resent the implication that all Europeans do so there.....and I don't have a cat either
