I am riding an 08 GSA. The rear tyre pressure monitor is showing that the pressure is going down. I have checked it manually several times and the pressure is correct. Is there a quick fix for this or is it a Main Dealer visit?
Thanks, thats the problem with all these useless electronics, more cash for dealers.
When I bought my GSA the tyre pressures were in bar and appeared pretty constant. I got them changed to psi and now the pressure indication tends to vary with somewhat inconsistent readings when the bike is started/stopped. I use the tyre pressure indication as a guide and not gospel, I have my own pressure gauge I use for checking once a week.
Hi
The sensors communicate with the computer using radio signal.Maybe something disturbed the communication. It has happend to me 2 times. Both times a BMW car just passed me. I guess they are using a similar system in the cars...
The car system, at least as fitted to my wife's 123d doesn't use radio transmission. It doesn't display a pressure reading like that on my GS. It simply indicates a warning if one of the car's tyres suddenly drops in pressure. You need to initialise the system, each time that you change the tyre pressures and it then detects any sudden changes in the rolling circumference of each tyre.
Excuse my ignorance how do I initialise the system.

Was changing to read PSI a dealer job and how much was it please ?
I'd like to do likewise
It's a simple task once the bike is hooked up to the diagnostic computer - so easily done at service - I had the tyre pressure changed to PSI, the clock to 24 hour format, & the indicator self-cancel turned off. It's three little "ticks" on the diagnostic display, so simples.
does anyone have a list of these 'tick' options that can be changed via the diagnostic computer by any chance?
Or a link to a list somewhere?
It would be nice to go in with a list of what I want changing when next in for a service

I find some of the extras quite handy, as an example the ESA is brilliant and constantly used. the ABS is a safety feature I hope never to use but nice to have and the tyre pressures are fun but not something I rely on. Possibly the feature I use most of all is the temperature thingy. All the bells and whistles options are just a pension pot for dealers,I hate the way they order them in with full options packs then try to tell you your bikes going to be worthless second hand without them, useless tat most of it that will at some point let you down and in need of costly dealer repair![]()
