Sorry, but they are overkill, especially if like me you use puncture sealant. I'd rather not be parked in the Pyrenees with no mobile phone signal and a puncture than know my front tyre has lost 2lb in the last month.
Strictly for lazy barstewards and posers.

Why do you assume that I'd be stranded if I got a puncture? Have you not heard of puncture repair kits for tubeless tyres?
You are, I am afraid, entering into the logical fallacy of the false dichotomy. YOu are also indulging in wishful thinking if you believe that your sealant guarantees that you will not get stranded. In fact, I used it on my last GS, but a nail through the tyre showed how troublesome that particular solution is. At least the stream of gunk showed me whee the hole was, though.
