Tyre pressure sensors are programmed to operate on each bike and if the battery in the sensor runs out a new sensor is required and the system has to be programmed to read the new sensor. This can be done at the dealers or with a GS911.

Is it possible to programme two sets of wheels with TPMS sensors to both operate on the same bike without reprogramming each time the wheels are swapped.

yes i have a summer and winter sets of wheel tyres, although occasionally the bike forgets one set so have to programme again.

I take it that you have a GS911? Is the bike ecu programmed to the sensors or are the sensors programmed to the ecu?

sensor idents get programmed to the ecu,no i havent a gs911 dealer programmed my xtra set and if the bike forgets a set they just re do them for me for free.

You don't have to replace with a new sensor if the battery runs out - you can dig the old one out and put in a new one for a couple of quid and some effort.
