Tyre pressure sensors.

Its 5 years + since you posted Giles but only last Friday when I learnt how right you are when returning to collect my bike after having two tyres fitted I was informed that one of my valves was broken. Even though I insisted it was ok when I brought the bike in they denied damaging it so I am left with probably and perhaps someone can advise me on this a £200 bill for BMW to replace it.

Oh dear!!

They are very brittle. We get used to bending the conventional rubber valves to fit our airlines.

That's a bit naughty of the tyre fitter / dealer whatever if they did do it ....

Thanks for replying Giles another lesson learnt I suppose.
B4ndit I suppose it does in some way but then I am not happy to read that you too face an expense you would rather not have.
I am an old Luddite really and I could do without all this technology really but having owned many bikes over the years and owning this one for three years I just don't want anything else now. So whatever t the cost its going to have to be paid.
Well not really true I don't want anything else but my nearest and dearest says I cannot afford a new one out of my pension apparently.
