Hi, How much would it be to add tyre pressure warning to 2018 rallye ?
Mark.

Rule of thumb , find out the factory fit option cost and treble it.

On my 2018 gsa ordered it with sat nav prep (£280 ish) , bmw forgot to fit it so the dealer retro fitted it ......... Total cost was over £750.

Cheaper to fit an aftermarket tpms from Michelin or similar

Thanks mate
Think I will stick to the old method of giving them a kick.
Thanks
Mark

No mate do not have a garmin yet, will aquire one if I see one cheep enough,
Then go down the route you suggest
Cheers.

A load of peeps from my club used a Michelin group buy for tyre pressure monitoring. Valve cap senders and handlebar monitor. Circa £50.

FWIW, TPMS on the BMW is excellent. Warning about tyre deflation long before I've felt anything wrong has happened to me a number of times. Recommended.

Thanks, had the tyre pressure warning on the F 850gs i had , might give williams a ring tomorrow for a price.

I had it added to an F850GS. As has been said it’s about £800. If you get a quote make sure it is to retrofit from scratch or else they’ll quote you just for the sensors...
IMHO it’s good to have it on the bike, but if it didn’t come with it the Michelins are a fraction of the price and are transferable to other bikes.

You could consider the Steelmate system, which has replacement valves with senders for your wheels and a display on the handlebars.

I had this fitted on my previous machine (Triumph) and have to say found it to be very good.

They do also do a slightly cheaper system which has the sensors in the dust caps (which works just as well) and may be easier to use - just ensure you have metal (rather than rubber) valves though if you do choose this system

Looks really good! A good add on for any bike

Thanks for all the input guys,
After thinking about it I will go with the michelin option, as I don't keep my bikes very long and will probably get a 1250 in a year or so,
Thanks
Mark.

Having said I would go down the michelin option, typical me i have now bought the fobo bike 2 that runs via Bluetooth on your phone, spoke to a couple of dealers price 400ish fitted for bmw option,
I will stay with this until trade for 1250.

.

I have used the Fobo bike option for several years. The ability to check tyre pressures from in front of the nice toasty Aga(!) and run the app in the background of my smartphone nav app are just a couple of the benefits. Before they can be initially paired by bt their correct ownership has to be verified by the Fobo server - so useful security. nb. The customer service based in Malaysia is excellent
