Probably been asked a million times before but I am looking for advice on tyres.

2002 R1150R..mainly 2 up sunny Sunday rides. Currently on Bridgestones but I find them a tad harsh.

Looking for a "softer" feel tyre...any suggestions/thoughts/experience?

Thanks.

Reduce the pressure a bit?

Avon Storm 3D XM are good for a sports touring tyre. One revision behind their newest tyre so cheaper as well. I use them on my R1200RS

My preference tends to be for Pirelli (Angel ST) or Metzeler (whatever the latest sport-tour variant is) for my Rockster.

I'm assuming you're still on the 5" rim and 170 width tyres?

I have pair of Michelins on my 1150R. Grip is excellent, and the mileage/life is extraordinary.

I'm on my second set of Bridgestone T31s and find them much softer than the Michelin PR4 GT I had before. I got a better mileage with the BTs too. They also feel more neutral than the Michelins, especially when reaching the end of their lifetime. And like all other modern tyres they offer more grip than I will ever need.
