Tyre valve

Hi Chaps and Chapesses,

This may sound like a REALLY silly question, but given that I've seen tyre valve assembly replacement costs on here while searching for my answer-----

here goes - my front tyre has had a VERY slow puncturefor a little while, and yesterday found that valve is leaking from the end of the stem (I can feel it with my finger end- and in the past I would just whip out the old valve and replace it, I am loathe to do just that before checking as I don't know if it's just a normal schraeder valve in there and don't want to bugger up the RDC.

Advice please from the gurus will be much appreciated.
Don't mind a bit of mild ribbing if I get a proper answer too

It just undoes as a normal valve, so I would take it out, give it a clean and put back in again, making sure its tightish (techie term).

Was just gonna replace it but gotta be worth a pop

It might be a good idea to check the core of the valve to see if its loose.
