Pirelli Scorpion MT90 is standard fitment and are absolutely excellent tyres.
Many people look for alternatives but I think many just return to the 'Scorps' as they are the best all round tyre for the bike.
I went from my Tourance shod GSA to the KTM and was apprehensive about what the Pirelli's would be like, I need not have worried, they are absolutely superb!
Had TKC80 on mine.
Front still OK, back went after 3,000 miles.
Would use again, does make the front heavy to turn and a little wobbley at speeds (motorway).
Now have rail Attacks on each end, trip to Turkey and back, 6,000 miles, rear hardly shows any squaring off. Really good tyres for touring.
depends what you want to use the bike for - road trip touring fit pure road tyres, if you want to do a little bit of light off road on gravel the std scorps are fine, but PITA if its wet. the k60 superexplorers are a bit more agressive than the scorps and wear very well.
) and trusted them on wet tarmac with my F800GS and I found them to be reasonably long-lasting (5000 miles on the rear and a bit more on the front).tck have a soft sidewall and they have increased the price recently... mitas e10 has a stiff sidewall and performance is about the same
