Hi,

Other than Coopers or M and S does anyone know anyone that offers a ride in tyre change facility near the Newcastle area please. I've tried the likes of tyre spot but they only do tyre changes if you've removed the wheels from your bike first.

Thanks

Take the wheels out yourself and save yourself a packet....................it couldn't be easier on a GS, with a centrestand, no chain and a rear wheel stub axle

20 mins to take out and same to refit - tops

JB - Not sure how you remove front wheel without a prop under the engine?

Centrestand and then just block the front of the sumpguard, with wooden chocks or similar.................unless you don't have a scissor jack (car one will do, with wood to stop you marking the sump guard)

Spoke to Steve at National Bike Tyres today. Really nice guy and took the time to answer my questions and give advice. So new tyres ordered and will be fit shortly.

Well tyres fitted yesterday morning then straight off to the dales for camping. Steve did a great job of fitting tyres on a fully laden bike and did me a great deal on the Dunlop Trailsmart. I was looking at the Tkc70 or Avon Trailrider after posts on this site but Steve offered the Dunlop at £198 for both tyres on the WC GSA with free fitting/balancing.

So far after 300 miles on the new Dunlops including a little gentle off roading I'm really pleased with the new tyres.

I'm not related or have anything to do with national bike tyres other than being a customer and would recommend both Steves service and the advice on the Road smarts.
