HI ALL
Can anyone please recommend me some tyres for a 1992 r100gs,tried to order anakees 2 but have stopped making them, use will be 90%road 10% off road....

Many Thanks David

I have been using original style Metzeler Tourance for the last few years. Grip ok and wear well, but also vibe a bit.

Always use pirelli scropion trails myself.

I've gone away from the older tried and tested theories etc.....had a pair of Michelin Anakee III tyres fitted and they are simply superb. Modern tyres rule !!:aidan

#1 on the A111s , they are just a different class to any of the others mentioned.I have them on my GS and Funduro and they work well om both.
They feel like Pilot Powers on blacktop, and have a surprising amount of grip on unsealed roads and tracks.
And they last me exceptionally well,12/14,000 km which for me is three times as long as Scorpions and twice as long as Distanzas.
The Sahara 3s on my G/S are excellent too, while they dont quite have the planted feel of the A3s on blacktop I havent ever reached the limit of of their adhesion, and they have the best off road grip and feel of anything short off a full Knobby. Lasting better than expected, will probably last as long or a little longer than Distanzas, which is for me 6/7000 km
Distanzas are OK but are simply old tech beside the A111s, and dont last as long.

Metzeler Tourance here, grip well enough to have it on its ear easy enough albeit not done any amount of dirt..........

Not much wrong with Tourances and you will probably be happy with them, until you try Anekee 111's!
But neither are a true dirt tire, the Metz Sahara 3 is the tire if you intend getting off unsealed roads and onto dirt single track, and for mud and sand you want dedicated off road mud or sand tires, and they are not legal on road.
