Yes, I am sure a lot of us thought that but did not wish to say it! However where I live I HAVE to descend 300' to get to the town, then the autoroute. As that is done in under 2 kms. that entails 20 bends, (two of them 'acute hairpins.) I probably use more tyre tread going to the bar 'centre ville' than running up to Lyon, 30+ kms away on the autoroute.

Yeah sure I understand that where you ride is the key for you, but to actually choose to not use the bikes potential where it is fun to do so?

Incidentally, last time I owned a GS I got anywhere from 3-5K from Tourances and slightly less from Anakees.
