Sorry guys probably the question has been asked before. Anyway done 5500 miles on the original tyres , need to splash out now
Any recommendations welcome what to get where to buy etc .
Road use only no off roads for me.
Looking for decent mileage wet and dry use
I do like putting the bike over into corners.
Cheers boys

Conti Trail Attack 2 are my favourites, really good in the wet, last well (8000 out of my last set) and will cope with gravel tracks etc if needed.

Other people swear by Tourances - personal preference I suppose :nenau

There are loads of threads about this if you do a search.

Annakee 3. On my second set, got 15k miles from the last set which was not downto the wear bars but were out of shape. Proper road profile, okay for compact gravel trails and he like, spins up in mud and grass.

I loved the Michelin pilot roads on sports bikes as they kept their shape for much longer than Bridgestones and the Annakees perform even better on the 800 in my opinion.

Me too, on my second set of TA2's, I swapped the rear at 8K like you but left the front on till 10K. I rarely venture off the black stuff and like the fact the Trail Attacks behave like a full on road tyre, cheap too, I got the last set for £160

I've recently put on a set of Heidenau K60 Scouts, and having spent this weekend whizzing up the motorway to the Yorkshire Dales and thrashing around with the Boxertrix guys on R1200S's etc it held up it's own in good style fair play!! Highly recommend them!

Like Mr Magnet I have Conti Trail Attack 2,s which are VERY good in the wet but will try the Annekee 3's soon for the incoming winter .. not that I am displeased with the Conti's its just good to try other stuff !

Corrected for you :augie

I had the OEM Battlewings on mine, then tried a pair of Tourance Next, which I found a bit twitchy on rutted road - they seemed to want to track along in any rut they discovered, may just have been me overthinking it, but they made me uncomfortable.

Then switched to Conti TA2, and I'm now on my 2nd set, they're bloody brilliant, and totally transformed the bike. My regular holiday is up in the Western Highlands, and I chuck the bike about like a loon, I love them!
