Tyres

They feel ok if you can get past the horrible noise they make

Hmmm, I must confess that I hadn't noticed when I put them on my previous bike and I don't know what a GS sounds like with any other tyre. But to be honest, I wouldn't because all I hear is wind noise or I wear plugs.

So far I've used OEM Anakee 3 and Metzeler Roadtech 01 and the Metzeler just edges it for ride quality. Michelin Road 5 trail going on before my summer holidays.

As for the Anakee 3 making noise, what a lot of pish. It's a feckin' motorbike.

I've had two sets of the Road Pilot 4's and have been very happy with them.

I've had the GT on the rear and the trail on the front.

No one on Conti TKC70’s? Had them on my previous GSA LC and now again on my 2018. On my 2nd set of wheels (black alloys) I have the RoadAttack3. Both very good on dry and on wet ...

Road attack 3 ... now had them on for around 700 miles or so , initially i was impressed as some times a new set of tyres can.
Now its not that i dont like them now it more that i feel that the tyres has a more flat profile which seems to make the bike lazy.
The rear is down to the edge , but the front still shows 10 to 15 mm of side wall . The trail attack 2 however would match ie edge to edge and was not lazy in fact ran so well in all situations ( the old phrase "on rails") so i think that i may well go back to the TA2 as they are such a good tyre and you really can trust the lean angle and grip , again its only my opinion and the RA3 are good but not as flexable.
Wear rate seems good but that's not something i ever worry about , i prefere a tyre that suits rather than a mileage grabber.. oh wet weather grip is good tho , maybe better than the TA2 but ....

Well something to remember in tyres is when the say "TRAIL" it means they have a stiffer sidewall, to support the adventure bikes...............:rob

The Road attacks are listed for the GS so i would expect the side wall is stiffer , i think for me its the profile of the TA 2 and feel you can push the bike harder and lower and still have the fast turn , okay a smaller contact patch but better feel.
The RA3 seems to slow the turn and seems to steer wider.
