I have been browsing through the Cambrian tyres catalogue and note that as well as Bridgestone doing The BT020's in sizes for the R1150GS that Continental are listing their Road Attack radials, Avon list their AT45/AT46 radials and Michelin are doing StreetPilots in GS sizes .
The question is has anyone tried any of the above road biased tyres and what do they perform like ?

Continental Road Attack

I was looking at the same catalogue yesterday and noticed the Conti's. Thought I'd do a search and see if anyone else had tried them and yours was the only posting that mentioned them!

I was about to get some 020's but these look very tempting, particularly at the price they sell for....

Details from Continental are here but this doesn't mention the 19" front.

The only person on the advrider site who seems to have actually used them on a GS had this to say:

"The Continental Road Attack, sticks like sh*t to a blanket"

If I can get hold of them I'm tempted to go out on a limb and try them, but a 4000 mile trip is a hell of a test if I find I don't like them half way to Dover....

Forgot to mention - Continental don't list these tyres as being suitable for a GS in their fitment guide, but then they don't mention the right sizes in the details either.....

My tyre supplier contacted Continental and the Road Attack won't be available in the UK in 110/80R19 until July/August, apparently, despite the fact that they're already advertising it.

So I've opted for 020's instead.

Bugger!

They're available on www.mynetmoto.com in GS sizes and cheap too :bounce1 . I'm tempted. Very tempted...

Better modify that, I ordered some, and they won't be in until October. I can wait though. Road test report to follow...in November sometime...
