UK Compliant GS

Nothing

My understanding the challenges are UK to USA but not the other way around. If you have owned it for over 1 year, no challenge with duty on anything as others have said. I know of several USA bikes in the UK which have been re-registered as soon as they have arrived.

When you moving?

OK..... Going to VOSA for a SVA. BOS full exhaust sytem (withe decibel eater) on, or original system fitted ??
Fanks...... :beerjug:

What would I need to do to my American spec. 2005 R1200GS to make it UK compliant.
Dip beam pattern would be the obvious. Would that be a bulb change, lens change, reflector change, all the aformentioned or simply an adjustment.
Anything else ? (be nice........... ;) )

a friend of mine brought a bike in from the US a few years ago and in addition to the headlamps he had to sort out the indicators.
The US spec was to for them all to be lit up front and rear, a bit like driving lights and only 'flash' off and on when turning, opposed to ours , all 'off' until turning then flashing front and rear on one side only.

No probs with lighting, just fired her up & winkers are not lit until initiating.....Talked to the inspection station (nice bloke who was very helpful) & said silencer has to have "a" manufacturers marking & not "too" loud so fingers crossed......... :beerjug:

GS passed the single vehicle approval today at VOSA Avonmouth with flying colours, thanks also to the professionalism of the VOSA testers.
Just a word of thanks to ALL those who advised & assisted me in my shipping & licensing process & to God for keeping the rain at bay for my first UK ride in 30 years....... :beerjug:
