Have recently added a connector from Autocom to my Active 7 system to allow me to use my Ulimate ear bungs with built in speakers, but it is so noisey, have the VOX turned fully down so mic is not active. Has anybody else come across this problem, if so did you find a cure. Or are you using this set up with no noise problems. Its as if I am riding with no ear bungs in at all.

Cheers

Mick

It is possible your ear plugs are not sealing correctly. Are they new?

I had to send mine back to be re-moulded, and they are super now with either the ipod directly connected in or via the autocom.

You dont have a 1200GS with the autocom behind the tank do you? If so, the base of the seat will rub on the autocom transmitting engine noise and stuff into the autocom and to your ears (bizarre but true - took me weeks to find out why this was happening). You can trim the underside "fins" under the seat to provide enough clearance.

Thanks for your answer Tobers....

Have had them for just under a year, have not used them for the past 2-3 months, they do seem to fit ok.

No have a 1150GS...... :D but the Autocom is under the fuel tank on top of air filter. It seemsto be ok if I use normal ear bungs and speakers in my helmet.
