I've been working with Ultimate Hearing Protection Systems for about 3 years in various capacities, and recently have been offering advice to GS'ers here akin to what GSrich does for Autocom.

The whole bike comms things has got rather confusing with so many options so by providing some advice I hope I'm helping people. Going by some of the threads and PM's I've been on it is helping.

But I'm personally selling nothing and there are no deals to be had with me. I give you advice and you chance your arm with Ultimate whether you see them at a show or visit them.

I'm not saying it won't help your plight to mention you have had a conversation here with me though if you catch my drift you never know if you're luck is in.

Ultimate do give discounts to certain groups, clubs, IAM, etc but they gain their discounts on production of a membership card. Its not so easy to achieve in this medium because all and sundry could say there are a GS'er and who or what is to say?

They've done the Hograost a few times and Horizons and no doubt could do a UKGS'er do if they were asked, where at I dare say a special will be offered to attendees.

But helping people who are Ultimate users or those thinking about it can get get some support, advice from me. The rest of the time I'm here as a fellow GS'er getting me fix of bollox from Tossers

Im still undecided between UE or Green Leopard monitors.
Im not sure on the robust nature of the wire connections to the monitors on the UE ones, and im not sure if the Green Leopard ones give as good quality sound with the air tubes .

I usually do demos for people before they buy because I wouldn't personally spend that amount of money on something I hadn't heard so why should I expect other people to?

I wouldnt mind actually trying some Green Leopards but am having trouble finding somewhere to get my ear moulds done. A few places have quoted £20 per ear !
UE would get me the moulds done for £20 total, but then i have to give them a deposit on the monitors before they will get me the appointment.

If i could get the moulds done for a decent price then i think i may go for Green leopard.

Would it be a problem having monitors as i had grommets fitted about 8 months ago due to glue ear. I had the same problems throughout my child hood, so my ear drums are quite scarred aparrently. My hearing is fine by the way. Maybe the doctors will refer me to have moulds taken, i wonder ?
