Just tried to remove the seat and the back seat won't come off, it lifts a small amount and then no further, tried lots of waggling, grunting and swearing but to no avail. Anybody any idea what is preventing it coming off, it feels like the latch underneath is not completely opening.

Sounds like the seat might be straining against the lock as if something out of place or caught under he seat?

Put some weight on the seat whilst trying to turn the key?

Wiggle and lift the front of it first.. Try tweaking the key while you're wiggling it.. It went on so must come of would be my logic..

As above, sit on the pillion seat and then try the key to see if that helps. It could be you've got something jamming the lock mechanism and preventing it working properly. I managed to do the same at Cotswold after a service, but they managed to open the lock fully by doing the above.

The pillion seat doesn’t lift off, it slides forwards or backwards about half an inch or so, and then lifts off. Sorry if you knew that.

Normal seat unlock after removing front seat, turn key clockwise, pull seat forward and up to release.
Might be the rear seat lever has got caught on top of the front lever as in video, then again maybe not.
