WTF ! I was about to change the belt so i pulled off my hebco n becker crash gaurds tried to unscrew the bottom hex bolt that holds the alternator cover and it snaped like a piece of cheese. The two side bolts and top bolt i had no problem with. Heres a pic, has anyone else had a similar issue ? This is an 05 with about 70kms on her...

Looks like corrosion-welded steel bolt in alloy hole.

Extract stud and use copper grease on the replacement bolt?

Copper slipped all of these when bike was bought new in September 04.
No probs with them now.

Thats terrible for 70 kilometers, i would have expected it to last double that

Just checked mine to find the bottom and lower side Screws finger tight (or slack) Copper Slipped them and replaced. Thanks for the "Prompt" (Bike 3 months old)
