Hi Guys,

Well finally got around to getting the underseat tank designed and made up. It hold approx 9 liters, think the final design will be between 8 and 9 liters.

I am thinking of doing a one off production run of these tanks with all the fittings and fuel pump. It will be less expensive than anything on the market (I would know as I have spent along time looking!). It would fit the HP2E AND MM.

I am just trying to see how much interest their would be. If you know of any other websites where people might be interested, then please let me know or post a link to this thread.

The tank is made of 2.5m aluminum, except for the underside which is made of 3.0mm so is more resistant to stone impact. The pump I have sourced has a one way valve so that fuel can leak back from the made tank. The system is very simple to plumb into the existing fuel lines.

If you have any questions or are interested let me know so I can see if its worth producing a batch of these.

Cheers

Sniffy

That looks alright I might need one of them... how much does it foul the rear wheel when you spank it over rough ground?

I am doing a test run as a supermotor set up this weekend, then I will put on an offroad set up and do the same. Hence not quite sure of the final volume just depends on clearance.

I know some guys run 18 inch rears offroad as well so would need to test this, but would reduce volume a little more....

you need to get out more I think that is the fastest reply to a posting I have ever seen.... :)

just finishing an edit (half cut)

I run mine on exel rim which are 18's so I'd be interested in the results I really need more fuel than the tank can hold already have a 23 L tank on and am looking for around 40L but it's a start.

:D

I could do that but I might break it....:augie

I'm clumsy after all...:D

mmm.... 9 litres of fuel weighs 9 KGs give or take a few grams, plus a fuel pump. How does that affect the load you can put on the rear suspension? Panniers, pillions top boxes etc.

I'm sure you've run the maths too.:thumb

the bike is good for 70kg apparently on road use so under half should be fine, mine is setup with 20kg of stuff in race mode.

luck is a factor not to be under estimated....:augie I'm considering a water carrier next year...

Mmn.. 20KG s of crap in the panneiers, 10 in the topbox, 50 KG of 'partner' (have to be PC...but on real scales suddenly 20 kgs is added...add weight of biking clothing) and 80kgs of rider, plus 10KGs of 'other added stuff', how's the rear shock holding up?

So who bought the thin girl to the party?!!!!

20

+----
190KG on the back (21 yo girlfriend)

Plus 10 for bringing athe wife. (nothng wrong in that..just have to get the right suspension set up)

no it's 70kg all in for road use less for offroad

so throw what you don't need including the thin girlfriend unless she owns a pub.:thumb2

I've got different shocks set up for an all up weight of about 130Kg inc the bigger tanks

HP2 aux tankl

I like the look of that tank and with the mounting points you have it looks like will work with touratech Zega pannier rack mounts which would be good for me....!

I'm very interested.

FP.:thumb

I am not worried about the weight if I was I would go on a diet as I am a good 10kg over weight. This would not only help the bikes performance but mine as well...... Never Take anyone on the back as well and dont want to....

so thats

2. lo iq
3. farmer palmer

You would only regret selling it!!! Think mine is a keeper as it make me :JB every time I ride it.

Seats sorry cant help, but their is a guy in Bradford that does seats also Renzco (sp?) in the USA. Think mine is off to Renaco this winter for some mods.

Panniers if you are looking I would recommend ARD!!! Still very pleased with mine....

Thats x4......

Hi mate,

As said before very interested but I will be honest from the word go it will be purely down to how much it will cost as finances is pretty tight but just the mere thought of filling up every 4th day instead of every 2nd day on my commute is already appealing.

Need to get this past the minister of finances IYKWIM :D

I know what you mean about riding it. And i do like the exclusivity. Will look at Renzco seats, and i think there is a good seat guy in Huddersfield (Tony Archer).

I dont want to tie you down, and i know you said it would be cheaper than anything else on the market, but do you have a ball park figure you were thinking of selling them at (complete)

that's a good point I've just taken a hit on a job and it would be best to know a ballpark that I can aim at rather than getting a bill that'll make me cry like a gurl.

:blast

ball park figures would be £300 it not a money making scheme, just if i am going to put one together it just as easy to do a few.

Cheers

Andy
