just checked my brake pads before it's service next week, (06 Adventure)
the thing is, 3 of them are only about half worn and one has only about 1mm of life left in it.
I suspected maybe a sticking piston but they all seem to push in freely and return when pumped back out with the brake lever.
Is this unusual?
just wondered if it's liable to do it again if i fit new pads.
it's going to go through a few more pads than I would really be happy with if i have to replace them all because one is wearing more than the others each time,
P.S.
i've done 13.000 mile since i got it last july and it has covered 19.500 in total so i believe they may be the original pads still in there as i can't see them having been replaced before i got the bike.
many thanks, Garry:thumb2

its normal for the inner pads to wear more than the outer,

but it's only worn unevenly on one of the front calipers, on the other one they have both worn the same amount:confused:

oh well, i'll just fit new brake pads and see how it goes:thumb2

I see this on a lot of bikes i service and have posted about owners looking out for it a few times, in fact my own bike has one pad that wears faster than the others and there is noting wrong with the calipers etc.

I just swop the pads around so they all reach the end of their life at the same time.
