Somewhere in EU
I've got a unifilter in my xCountry but would also like to include the pre filter which TT don't sell.

Does anyone know of anywhere in the EU where I can get hold of one?

I remember seeing a one on a Spanish site before I can't find it now. IIRC it was pretty expensive though.

Is it just the foam you've got of does it include the plastic/metal (depending on when it was bought) plate to hold it in place?

Is there the plastic structure that keeps the foam from collapsing too? Not worried about the washers.

Let's take it to email, my contact details are in my profile.

Cheers.

Hi, I installed a unifilter on my XCo before I took it down from UK to Gambia last October, including 2,400 miles across the Sahara. I also bought some filter mesh of ebay which I simply layed over the unifilter before re-installing the cover.*

This seemed to work well helping to protect the unifilter and this a view of the unifilter in Senegal after about 3,500 miles and one crossing of the desert. Not perfectly clean but no obvious dust or sand had made its way into the unifilter despite the somewhat hostile environment.

This for me was a cheap and simple solution.

Thanks for the tip. Seems filter foam is about £5. I'd be concerned about it getting sucked into the unifilter or blocking the air flow. Though I guess I could make some sort of bracket to hold it.

The piece I've used is held in place by the triangular cover. When the cover is put in place the foam becomes partlly compressed which stops it moving. No danger of it being sucked in.
