Hi Chaps,
so there I was riding The Flying Banana on the M60 and slowing down for the 40mph roadworks. Cruising along for about a minute or so and I saw the speed needle drop to zero (where it stayed), immediately the red warning triangle illuminated (s**t, I thought) and a flashing brake failure warning light (double s**t). So I pulled off at the next junction (would you believe it but it was the turn off for Williams?) and stopped. The brakes were working OK, so I switched off the engine, left it for 30 seconds and restarted it. Result - no change, oh b******s, so I guessed my speed and rode to the dealers. Off with the seat, in with diagnostics kit, trolled thru' many warning codes to discover code 10120, followed by 'This is an unknown fault! Please report to BMW. Christ what next. So the lads re-set everything to normal and took the bike out for a spin and, yes you've guessed it, it failed again.
Oh well the lads reckon it's got something to do with a combination of the ABS sensor and a control unit.
Anybody else seen this code?
So I trundled home on a Scarver. It weighs nothing, vibrates like something from an Anne Summers party, your knees feel like they're up around your ears but it's a great laugh!
Regards
