Can you be more specific or descriptive?

How often?
Is it constant/occasional?
In a certain gear?
What mileage the bike has and when did you first notice it (at what mileage)?

You really need to give much more info.

Hi

Tyres in good condition
The noise is consant and gets faster as the bike does it doesnt matter what gear i am in

Problem is when you stop to investigate the noise stops to

bike is a two year old 1200 gs with 20k it only started the noise two weeks ago

hope this helps

Tourances by any chance ??

Probably tyre noise from the tread blocks and nothing to worry about.

Put the bike on the centrestand and rotate the rear wheel - see if you can feel anything. If not, jack up the bike so you can freely rotate the front wheel - do the same. That should eliminate brakes and final drive.

Thanks for that
Strangly enough I got a new rear Tourance fitted two days before we left

Ps Sardinia/corsica exelent on the bike

thanks

experienced the exact same noise a few weeks back, and about 100 miles later noticed small splashes of oil on the back wheel, thought I would be ok and 50 miles later the final drive decided to drop the rest of the oil and to cut a long story short needed a final drive build. Have you checked if you have any lateral play on the back wheel
