unusual tyre wear front

MY 2003 gs1150 abs has an unusual wear pattern on the front Trailwing. The centre portion seems alright. But just off of this the tread has a distinct step to it. After 10500 miles it will be replaced very soon anyway. Is this abnormal?

It's completely normal for a Bridgestone to wear like this and at 10.5K miles it would be churlish to complain.

Just replaced the original trailwings on my 2003 GS, front tyre worn as you described. Now have tourance, completely changed the bike. No more feeling every bump in the road through the pegs!

Bridgestone on my Honda CB1 400 is wearing the same as well.
