Urgent help required please...

Horrified to see the state of my back tyre on a Honda 1000R when I got home after a 500 mile trip from Northern Scotland a few years ago.

Tyre looked fine when I set off, but obviously wasn't as it seemed to get to this state very quickly.

I wouldn't even dare ride it 10 miles to the dealer to get a new tyre, I had them come and fetch it in a van!

Next time you need to look a bit closer - I don't think 500 miles did all that damage!

Had my bike serviced on Thursday and the local technician has sent off details of the tyres (the front is the same now) to BMW for a definitive answer. Whilst there I saw their demo with only a few hundred miles on the clock had a rear tyre with a similar line as mine.
