I've come from a GSA to the LC, and unsurprisingly I find the LC screen much less effective than the bigger and more upright GSA screen.

So I just tried fitting two spacers behind the top two screen fittings on the LC, effectively making the screen a bit more upright. The spacer is about 20mm in total and it is surprisingly effective - it's the difference between being able to ride with my visor open, and not.

Just thought I'd pass it on in case anyone else is underwhelmed with the oe screen.

Cheers
Jimmy

Perhaps BMW should sell the bike with a pack of spacers-a couple to bodge the panniers so they fit and another couple to make the screen work !

I know you will buy one Arsey (and you won't be disappointed mate):thumb

Zero chance of me buying one.
The GSA looks better but it sounds like BMW have removed the best traits of the old engine so that's very unlikely too !

Looks like there is a market for a new longer top adjusting linkage. The spacers may do the same job but look a bit naff on a £14000 bike.

I'm not really bothered what they look like, I just wanted to try and solve the problem. It'll be interesting to see if the new GSA has a better/bigger screen, the pictures posted on the GSA thread that's running at the moment make it look like the same screen as the GS, but my local dealer says not (based on the UK dealer briefing last week).

Not being critical JTB, top marks for experimenting. Just needs somebody to make an accessory to look the part.
