It needs to be clip on/ offable i reckon... but speaking to a proper sidecar bloke would be of great advantage i think. If you speak to

No the picture isnt of me but of a friend of mine.He doesnt have the sidecar ant more though. It was an ordinary sidecar frame with only the middle rail added on.

I couldn't quote any specific laws, but it would be to do with the fact that the bike is only partially suspended and also next to the 650 instead of on a fixed to towed platform.

I still think that a clever rack on the back of the bike would do the job. How hard can it be to lift a tiddler like a trialler?

Well, on the way out, it is a real pain, as they are not exactly a good shape for lifting up.

On the way home, though, when you are shaking from the effort of the off-roading, nursing a sore wrist, and tired, then it is much much worse.

I used to have a conventional trailer for a 100kg trail bike, and there were times when even getting it onto that and tying it down was a real trial.

I am surprised that there aren't any good dirt tracks with storage, or with bike rental. I can't have a trailer or van (I am already taking the piss with two bikes and a car squeezed into my docklands garage), and so don't get to offroad any more.
