Just bought this:

2003, 4,200 miles. PO died aged 70, his mate was selling for the widow so I just paid asking price, which was reasonable. Needs a service and carbs cleaning as it's not running well due to having been standing a while.

Spindly forks make for a few bum twitching moments.

I like those though yours will look much better for loosing the screen and mirrors.

The V Max was Probably the first original thought the Jap manufacturers ever had

I like it, but gotta agree with the gent above, the screen has to go and you need to replace those mirrors.

Carb cleaner applied, she'll now tick over, but still spitting back and takes a while to settle down to idle when revved. Carbs off, dismantled and properly cleaned, I think.

The screen will go and maybe the mirrors, though they are both OEM (screen must have been an option - but it is fugly!).

Off to a mate's wedding in Ireland tomorrow, so the Yam will have to wait a while.
