Not far away.
Looks to be well on the way, and with what looks like a radar block on the front for adaptive cruise control.

Hopefully it will have a much bigger tank than the V100. Maybe for launch at EICMA?

Wheels look like tubeless style too.

These pics were apparently taken near the factory
17 inch front wheel

I hope the stying in a bit more inspired than it looks, the V85TT is such a looker this is a bit of a letdown

But will reserve judgement till we see one

Whats the point of the Stelvio, if they have the VT85?

It's like having a full fat & lite GS

Just make the VT bigger ?

Or is it the old, we must have a bike in every segment mentality

What’s the point of the 1250 and 850 GS or 890 and 1290 KTM ?

Is this a genuine question or the old "what can I say that will be controversial" mentality
Seems fairly obvious as per Arseys response

I just pray it has at least a 19" front and silver or black valve covers.

Different bikes in different segments

The 1250 is a boxer, the 850 is a Parallel twin , completely different bikes in different segments

The two Guzzi's are two different capacity V twins, competing in a small segment.. I cant see the point

Nope genuine question,

Arsey is jut being Arsey :D

Its like going to buy a V8 and coming back with a V6, why would you ??

And is it a photoshop? the rear hub looks very much like a BMW cardon unit - nothing like the Guzzi style rear hub

Because less is sometimes more.

Using your car analogy, Mazda designed the mk4 MX5 around the 1.5 engine and at its launch in 2015 , many said that the 1.5 was a much sweeter drive than the 2.0.

Same with the Alpine 110. The base model is generally regarded as the nicest.

Not everybody wants the biggest/heaviest and most powerful.

Unless you are riding two up with a large amount of luggage , why do you need a 160bhp bike when a 110 bhp bike will be much more usable in the real world such as traffic-dense UK ?

Most reviews say the Pani/Streetfighter V2 is much nicer to ride than the V4.

But yes, the Guzzi V85 and V100 are closer together and I’m sure the V100 will outsell the smaller bike, especially in the UK as many are more concerned with image than actual quality of the ride.

I thought the Multistrada 950s was a much nicer bike than the 1260

In the car world you can get virtually every model with different driveline configurations

looks like the V100 rear unit to meView attachment 567862

The more I look at the original pic and this one it just looks like they’re trying spoked wheels on a V100

Which is not a bad thing , the Headlamp looks very much the same . It looks like a more upright ‘butch’ version of the V100 and presumably more comfortable. The original Stelviowas a pretty good bike but almost unanimously disliked because they tried to make it look so different with the large twin headlamps.

I always thought it was disliked because it was overweight, top heavy, and underpowered? I love the twin LED lights on the V85TT I hope they use something similar on the Stelvio.

I'm going to stick my neck out and predict the finish bike will look nothing like that. The frame, engine , wheels and drive maybe the same but every thing else will be very different to the spy shots.

I was thinking the same, just didn't want to stick my neck out! :) Surely the Stelvio won't have those gold painted valve covers. And the front end shape appears pretty plain, but the tank appears larger than the V100's.
