No Doubt this has been asked a number of times.

Just give the 1150Gs a Service and wanted to know what craic is with doing the valve adjustments.

This is my first Boxer engine having come from Vee twins It feels a bit... well it sounds and feels a bit like a bag o spanners....... and a tad sluggish up and around 4-5/E

So Iv'e had a looky through the extensive service history but can't find any mention of valve adjustment.

Local Beemer garage says it should be checked every 6k.

So question is what difference if any will it do to the performance?

Also Im getting a load of vibration through the Hand grips so much so it's making me right hand go dead..... anyone know the reason or experienced this.....

Thanks in advance..

Dusty

If the valves are out of adjustment thing will obviously run better after adjustment. Your vibration is more likely to be due to incorrect balancing of the throttle bodies.
The valves should be done first with a cold engine and the TBs with the engine at operating temp,
There are numerous idiots guides to doing it and it is really easy, but satisfying to do

Shouldn't the rocker end float thingies be done first before the valves? :nenau
