Looking at the procedure for doing valve clearances. I see you are supposed to fit new gaskets but what about the bolts, do they need to be changed?
I have read that some people are using a permatex gasket sealant on the gasket especially around the left hand side. What do people use and what type?
Hope for advice to clarify this point!
Cheers

As long as the valve cover gasket is un-damaged it’s fine to re-use both it and the bolts . You need to use a little RTV sealant on the LHS on the two half circle portions of the gasket

You need to disconnect the accelerator cable and the clutch cable at the engine end to allow you to manoeuvre the rocker cover out
