whereas a motorhome using the van as a base and bodywork applied to the chassis restricts it to 60mph,
Only if it’s UNLADEN weight is more than 3.05 tonnes.

I may be wrong, but I thought a converted van can be driven 70mph legally on a motorway, whereas a motorhome using the van as a base and bodywork applied to the chassis restricts it to 60mph, as does towing a caravan etc. Whether that's something important or not is up to you
Wrong. And you can use the outside lane.Only if it’s UNLADEN weight is more than 3.05 tonnes.

The different speed limits can make someone’s choice of vehicle quite important. You don’t want to get caught out speeding in the wrong class of vehicle. It’s always best to know in advance what each specific vehicle can and more specifically can’t do.
I can only do 60mph on dual carriageways in mine but 70 on motorways. That may make a big difference to someone else. It doesn’t bother me.
Whoever is interested in buying this superb van needs to know if it comes in at under 3 tons or not and therefore can do 70mph on dual carriageways. Or not.
Timmy’s rules wasn’t specified either.
I don’t know what Timmy’s rule is but I say, implement it.![]()
Timmy’s rules men’s no posting shite on a for sale thread…..
Another argument is it keeps the post at the top of the list……
But statements could lead to negative sales effects…
No idea - before my time - but aware of the “Rule”So who is/was Timmy?
