After many miles covered using my Vario Panniers i have come up with a solution to a problem.
When the panniers are loaded to there full capacity when you go on a long trip they suffer from 'bounce' or rather they flex a lot when full, especially when fully extended , when you load them up you do think to yourself 'lot of weight here!'
People who i have riden with in groups have always said that 'your boxes flex a lot' when away on trips - so I decided to try to solve the issue.
I have come up with an adjustable brace which attaces to the underside of the bike and supports the panniers against each other, thus reducing the flex.
The idea is to give confidence in the existing mounting points (standard) and reduce the action of heavey stress.
I have only made a prototype which i have used over the past couple of weeks , is there any interest of this brace as i will post photos on the site to show the brace.
It is manufactured out of steel and powdercoated with swivel bearing cups on the ends.
What do you think - any thoughts and i will post some photos once i find me camera.
Happy days
