Hi all,
I am was experiencing what felt like the rear brake rubbing when cornering at slow speed, like doing slalom style turns. I was convinced that the rear calliper was loose. When I took a look, it felt like there was quite a lot of play in the sliders, the pins which the pads slide on. Is this normal? The calliper its self is fine.
After a bit of research, people reporting similar problems attribute it to needing a new tyre, I was just convinced it was brake rub, and the what felt like excessive play on the sliders confirmed this.
Is this exactly what a squared/worn tyre would feel like? And the whole brake thing is totally fine?
I am due to get another tyre soon any way. I am only asking as I now need to take the rear calliper off, as I accidentenly pulled the rubber boot of one of the sliders off....and not there is lots of play.
Appreciate any ones advice/comments
Thanks in advance for your help
