I took some video on SWMBO's camera of my trip to the lakes. It has been created as a .MOV file 1.1GB in size and 14 minutes in length.
Basically anyone know of a freeware programe to edit this down? I know I should buy something decent but that will come later if this experiment works

msn movie maker should open it however there might be some codec issues it's simple to use plus it's on your PC, Quick time pro costs about 50 dollars it's an editing software and simple enough to use.

best of luck

I have Movie Maker as a default on Vista and it doesnt recognise the MOV file :(

Come to think of it. I think i have a back up copy of pinnacle somewhere so may be worth digging that out :nenau

erm well I never really got on with pinnacle stuff... sorry premier pro, avid or fcp.

convert the mov. file into an avi. then use moviemaker? you should be able to down load a free file converter I think vci. might still be about.

Or google file conversion however it will take ages.
