I noticed the E5 sticker when looking at the 900DSX which might put me off a bit. I've got a Voge 300 which has the same, I've used the odd bit of E10 but it does very little mileage compared to what the 900 would have to do. I'm still steering towards the V-Strom 800RE.
Yes it's true only E5 into the 625x but i think you would be aOK with a mix but i always stick E5 in my bikes and have done for many many years. I took a 625 out at the weekend and i was impressed the only thing i didn't like is i thought the front brake was a bit spongy but the extras you got into the price was just endless . I then hopped back on my 1250 and it got me thinking that i could by 3 of these brand new bikes if i traded in mine with 12,000 on the clock that's insane , now it's not completely true as i am comparing a heavyweight with a middleweight but even so it's still insane . The japanese and Europeans will have to do something to combat this or i can see them going under . The paying extra for extra's may be a way out where it's included but how can they compete with that price and make a profit i just can't see how they can?. But what might save them is eventually we will all get electric bikes (hopefully i will be dead by then) and i still think that if a mainline manufacturer can put the 1st 'Good' electric bike out there it will change everything how they can do it with the right price and appeal i have not got a clue !
I think you will find they will only get more and more outlets as time progresses they have been established a few years now. I have 2 within a 15 mile radius and 4 in a 40 mile radius and thats more than BMW and Harley davidson and more than kawasaki and Yamaha.

I don't believe any stories i hear from any bikers unless i know them. I have learned over 50 years that they either grossly exagerate or it didn't happen at all. I remember a guy telling me back in the 70's that somebody had bought a newSuzuki GT750 wtaer cooled and it blew up and he got 3rd degree burns. Funny thing was i knew the guy an d asking him the following week he said he broke down with a water leak.....Enough said especially as the guy that had told me was on a Triumph.....I was chatting to a guy at a bike show on Sunday and noting the increasing quality of Chinese bikes. He then told me of his friend's experience while leading a group of riders when the Fly by Wire throttle suddenly went to max, flipping the bike and throwing him off.
Strangely the manufacturer (not known to me) was not interested his bikes fault
That look is not going to help the plummeting depreciation
