There seems to be not much going on in the Welsh section. Is there many members on here from Wales ?
How about a re-set and everyone making an effort and post some news, gossip or scandal. A few ride outs for a coffee and something to eat and a chat. A bit of banter perhaps or even. North v South, North meets south, north and south on a ride out perhaps. Meet you half way for a coffee ? Just an idea to get people riding and meeting and chatting. What you recon ? Anyone out for a ride this weekend ? Post your rides if you don't mind a bit of company. Have seen it done on face book. It could be done on here surely.

I was out for a ride today. I'm retired, I don't tend to ride at weekends when the hoi poloi are about. I prefer plodding along by myself, stopping wherever I want and riding a mix of goat tracks and faster roads. Although, if Aberaeron was anything to go by today, there are far too many retired old farts doing the same!
Why not advertise a meet at somewhere like Crossgates and see who turns up? We used to do that sort of thing twenty years ago, when this forum was a mere infant.
This was today's route: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jJDUj4VoWyUfTeTQ6
The last picture was taken near where I was born, between Llanon and Pennant, near Aberaeron

Hey Wessie that ride looks lovely. Retired also but I don't mind riding on the weekend because someone got to work and keep the wheels of industry turning. I went to the baffle hause or the Old Post pub for a ride and lunch today. Got to say I have never seen so much bloody salt on the roads. Local councils must have over ordered and can't get rid of it.

Lol. Hey there is a reason we all wear wellies around here. Sorry I meant Wellington Boots 😁

I rarely ride at weekends as every day is a Sunday here.

I'm only 4 miles from Wales so I often get out around the Welsh roads, this was my 178 mile route yesterday. Our paths must have crossed during the day @wessie

I’m biased but my spiritual home is N Wales in the company of sleeping giants. Yesterday’s little romp was made rather special with a coffee and a view of Moel Siabod. Cafe is run by a lovely Indian family from Mumbai. D’WFR was actually outnumbered by Multistradas - who’d have thought.

How about a re-set and everyone making an effort

Here’s the suggestion that should work….

Why not advertise a meet at somewhere

If you look at the South East section, you’ll see that we do have things going on. But (and here’s the rub) they don’t just happen. They require someone to set them up. That said, it’s not that hard to find a pub or a campsite or a bunch of roads to ride about on.

Have a look in the other sections too. See that some of them have meet-ups, as well. Have a look at how they organise theirs. What is it they do? Do midweek meets, work better than weekends? Is it best or at least quite good to have a Christmas event? How about St David’s Day or close to on the calendar? If you build it, they will come, as they say in the film. It doesn’t matter if the ‘They’ is two or three or 20, the chances are you’ll have a half decent time.

Wales is a big place.
Where you are would help to direct you

It’s funny that. Yesterday I saw 5 old fellas riding smallish bikes and thought it was like ‘Last of the summer wine’. They all waved and looked like they were having the time of their lives. Or in my head that’s what I thought :ROFLMAO:

Me and the boss are out n about on a Thursday and Sunday mainly, Down to x foxes via coffee stop in Dinas Mawddwy over to Aberystwyth via Clywedog Reservoir. ( goes thru Machynlleth golf course)
