Hi all
Looking for a cheap 1150 or 1100
Ideally an 1150gsa
I have had many airheads and a couple of 1150 gs but currently ride an AJP PR7
I need a big bike for a trip at the end of August and really want a gs but until I sell my AJP my budget is tight.
Needs to be a reliable runner, as I’m away in the alps until a few days before the trip, so don’t have time to fettle a bike.
Anything out there? Preferably south west

September 2005 BMW 1200 GS Bargain.

Excellent condition GS , despite her years and 33k miles. Been cherished that's obvious. Very very clean. Good paintwork and plastics. look at the exhausts. Shod with Pilot Road 6 tyres with lots of tread left. Engine and gearbox very smooth and the exhaust note - see video - is very grunty for a GS with that Remus can. I intended to ride this for a couple of years so went to town on the preparation and renewal phase last winter. But a few weeks back a bargain low mileage LC dripping with tech crossed my path and I succumbed . Hence I now need...

Current Mileage 101,344

I am the third owner, I am told the first owner did 99,000 mile. I bought it from this forum in July 2023

For its 23 years, it is still in very good condition and has just flown an MOT with no advisories. Last serviced in April this year.

Since I have owned it has been garaged

Metzler Tourance tyres fitted with plenty of tread left

Beak protector fitted

Bar risers fitted

Hand guard extenders

Grip puppies fitted

Givi Mono key adaptor plate fitted (Top box in photos not for sale)...

Arguably too many choices
Decided it either has to be a black std gs or a gsa.
Just waiting for the absolute bargain to turn up, a reasonable distance from home😂
 
The used bike market is in the doldrums at the moment, I picked up a 04 low (ish) mileage 1150 GSA last month for …… I really can’t say 😊 but it was a total bargain 😁 lots about 👍🏻
 
New to the group, where is the best place to start looking,( apart from here)
