I am trying to locate Feeler Guages and a resonable Torque Wrench so that I can D.I.Y. my valve clearances etc on my GS1150R 03.

I would like to source the single feelers 0.15 inlet and 0.30 exhaust with the plastic grips (vague I know). I think these may be an American type? Also, the Torque Wrench needs to be of good quality but not too expensive, (range of approx 2nm upwards) whilst I value my machine I will only use these for this task.

Please also bear in mind I live in Jersey C.I. although I will be visiting the mainland very soon and do have access to a UK mainland postal address.

Many thanks

I think you will find that the feelers are made by Wurth.

(I've moved your post to a more appropriate section, I know you want to buy something but this is more about technical info being 'wanted').

;)

Thanks for moving my post. I am new to this and appreciate the help. I'll try Wurth.

I have the feelers that you mention, I tried to find them on the web and eventually bought some from a member here when he did a bulk purchase.

If you haven't already seen it, this may be worth a read (it's a bit OTT but the point that laboured: too loose is better than too tight but matching the pairs is the important bit).

Do a web search for OVAD 2.2 (it's a pdf file).

In the mean time, here (post #3).

Thanks for the help and advice. You were spot on. There is a Wurth rep here so I'll contact her.
