Just in case anyone has swapped out theres for an aftermarket one, looking for a BMW OE guard.
From the looks of it the TT one wraps more of the frame, but still be happier with a metal one as I want to swap out the Xc s plastic version, how much is the OE one I wonder?
Have to learn to weld ally or could use the plastic as a cast.
How come you have a plastic guard as the bike comes standard with a aluminium guard
That's what I was quoted by Motorworks for the OE version

Paul,
Do you want to sell the OE plate, looks like it matches up on my X ?
How easy was the TT fit, on/off or fiddly other bits.
This pic. shows how the Xchallange sump guard protects the motor

But thanks kalli for the pic! After seeing this scary pic I've ordered the Touratech one ... at huge expense I know, but for the greater peace of mind it'll give me
