Hi
I was just home on my R1200Gs after a 100 mile journey when I noticed two lights flashing on my display.
The two light were the "Warning Triangle Light which was Red and the Brake Failure light which was also Red.
I was just home when this happened. I didn't notice anything different in the way the bike was handling.
Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for as I know the lights mean something is not right with the bike. I would appreciate any help with this matter.

Thanks Kevin

How were they flashing?
Together, or each in turn?
And how fast....roughly, in hertz (IE times per second.)

Hi Fanum, Electric Monk, Patzx12

The bike is a 2004 R1200GS with ABS not sure about a servo.
The Red Triangle light was on but I don't think it was flashing. The Brake Failure light was flashing but I could not be sure how fast it was flashing.

I took the bike for a run this morning for about 20 miles to check the lights and see the sequence that they flashed. The lights did not come on and there was no sign of any problem so I am not sure now what to do. I didn't get an owners manual with the bike at the time I purchased it.

Anyone any idea what I should be looking for???

Thanks

Never had a 1200 but if it's like the 1100 and 1150's, sometime your battery is not fully charged and the brakes will not go through their self check procedure, resulting in the same warning signs on the cockpit. If it happens again, turn off the bike and ride away. Changes are (if it works like the 1100 and 1150's) it'll clear it'self.
hth.
