Warranty

Guys & Gals,

Have any of you taken out Warranty's that arn't with BMW. Have just done a quote with warranty direct for my 05 R1200GS 11k miles. It came out at £312 a year. Have any of you used any of these other companys. Any pitfalls etc. Am trying to sell my bike and it seems with all the issues, seals, fuel bits the only way i am gonna flog it is with a warranty.

I used Warranty Works, about the same price too, Only issue is you have to get the OK to have the work done pay up and claim the loot back, OH! and single claim up to £1000. BUT, better than none at all...

Insurance warranties are OK but only just OK if you get my drift. They will cover all sorts but will try a worm out of it if tyey can find a way.

I wouldn`t waste my money on it unless it said BMW and the were backing it.

I`ve had a lot of experience with these insurance warranties with trucks and they weren`t very good to be honest.

Just my opinion of course but I think you`ll sell the bike privately without a warranty no problem.
