Now, do you leave the armour in when you wash yours? :nenau I just did my Halvarssons jacket and trousers in the washing machine and I took all the armour out. :blast It's just taken me the best part of 90 minutes to get the frigging stuff back in the right positions! :eek
Also, do you use any sort of re-proofer / waterproofing sprays etc after the wash? :nenau

Take out the armour. If you've been using biological detergent in your machine, run through an empty hot wash with nothing in it to clean that out.

Wash with a non-biological detergent for delicate fabrics or with soap flakes, after removing any oil spots or stains with Swarfega. Wash as recommended by the manufacturer.

After washing, tumble dry on low to reset the DWR coating on the face fabric and / or reproof with a spray unless you've gone the wash-in reproofing route with Nikwax or a similar product.

I (very occasionally :augie) empty the pockets n bung the old thing in a plastic bin with warm water and Nicwax techwash n re proofing stuff.
Old Hein Gerick suit is about 12 yrs young. Water is always minging looking but, suit has yet to leak 1 drop . i have never yet concluded whether it is down to the quality of the suit or the quality of the nicwax products .
It all seems to work:thumb2
