Water in the tank again

methylated spirits in theory at least will absorb water, will mix with petrol and so - will exit your tank.....
tried it and........didn't seem to make a lot of difference.

That's because it doesn't work. After hearing & reading this idea loads of times I filled a jar with petrol & added a couple of water droplets, no matter how much meths I added the water would not mix with the petrol.

Moment of genius....

worked out the stupid drain pipe must be bloked again... so rumaged about looking for somehting to stuff down the hole. Started with a bit of wire, no good, then tried abit of strimmer cables not much better...

then the moment of genius... what goes down and get stuck must go up to get unstuck....

Attached an airline to the bottom overflow pipe... and after a good squeeze the shit flew out the top and making one hell of a noise.

Gonna take the tank off tomorrow the whole trying to get at the water with a bit thin pipe is far too complex for.

Plus I'm going to drilll the filler neck and change the clips on the return pipe, stupid over designed clips you can't do anything with other than bend up and generally knacker up.
